Bridge and Tunnel Inspection Schedule for the Week of February 17
(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes or shoulders on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:
- Whitehurst Freeway Off-Ramp over Potomac Parkway and Rock Creek alternating right and left shoulder closures on Tuesday, February 18, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting
- Southbound 14th Street SW, over Maine Avenue, Outlet Channel and Ohio Drive alternating lane closures on Wednesday, February 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
- Northbound 14th Street, SW, over Ohio Drive, Outlet Channel and Maine Avenue alternating lane closures on Thursday, February 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
- North Capitol Street, NE, under Soldier’s Home Road northbound right lane closure followed by southbound right lane closure on Friday, February 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
