One of the key functions of the District Department of Transportation is the planning and construction of transportation projects. DDOT is responsible for the lifecycle of a project from concept to construction (and ultimately maintaining the assets.) These projects range in size from large infrastructure projects like the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge to smaller-scale projects like streetscape projects aimed at improving the safety of the District’s transportation network. Using the DDOT HUB, residents can find information about projects that DDOT is either planning, designing, or constructing.
