Temporary Overnight Lane Closures on Monroe Street Bridge February 11 - 16
(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close one lane of traffic on eastbound Monroe Street NE Bridge from Monday, February 11 until Saturday, February 16 between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am, weather permitting.
This temporary lane closure is necessary to complete work related to the Reconstruction of Monroe Street NE Bridge Project. Motorist and pedestrian traffic will be stopped while beams are being lifted only. During this activity, motorists will be detoured on northbound 7th Street NE to Michigan Avenue NE to 10th Street NE.
DDOT will provide flaggers and signage to guide traffic around the work zone and maintain public safety. The sidewalk on the north side will remain open at all times.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to stay alert when traveling through this area.
