Temporary Lane Closures on Pennsylvania Avenue from the J.P. Sousa Bridge to Fairlawn Avenue SE Begin March 18

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to temporarily close travel lanes on Pennsylvania Avenue SE from the J.P. Sousa Bridge to Fairlawn Avenue SE starting on or about Wednesday, March 18, 2020, weather permitting. At least one lane will be open to the traffic in each direction.

Lane closures and restrictions are needed for roadway repairs. The contractor is authorized to work Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Construction is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, April 1, 2020, weather permitting.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.
