Temporary Lane Closures on I-295/DC-295 April 13 – 18

(Washington, DC) —The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes and shoulders on the following roadways to perform construction activities along the I-295/DC 295 corridor. 

The following closures will be in place daily from Monday, April 13 until Saturday, April 18, 2020 weather permitting:

  • Full ramp closure on Ramp E from Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. to I-295 northbound from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during April 13 – 18
  • Full road closure on South Capitol Street from Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. to Malcolm X Ave. from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. during April 13 – 18

These closures are required for pavement work, guardrail installation and equipment mobilization associated with multiple DDOT projects aimed at improving the I-295/DC 295 corridor.
