Bridge and Tunnel Inspections for the Week of April 6

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:

  • Theodore Roosevelt Bridge over the Potomac River, Little River and George Washington Parkway left eastbound lane closure on Monday, April 6, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting.
  • I-395 southbound/westbound (Ramp C) under 9th Street (Ramps M and C-1), SW, left lane closure followed by a right shoulder closure on Wednesday, April 8, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, weather permitting.
  • 9th Street (Ramp C-1), SW, over I-395 southbound/westbound (Ramp C) ramp narrows closure on Wednesday, April 8, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
  • Northbound I-395 Center Leg under H Street NW, and K Street NW, alternating right and left lane closures on Tuesday, April 7, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting
  • Potomac River Freeway under ramp connecting westbound E Street NW to westbound T. Roosevelt Bridge alternation right and left lane/shoulder closures of Northbound Potomac River Freeway followed by alternating right and left lane/shoulder closures of Southbound Potomac Parkway on Wednesday, April 8, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting.
  • D Street under 10th Street Mall right lane closure of westbound D Street followed by right lane closure of eastbound D Street on Thursday, April 9, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting.
  • L’Enfant Promenade under 10th Street Mall alternating right and left lane closures on Thursday, April 9, from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
