Bridge and Tunnel Inspections Schedule for the Week of May 4
(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:
- Anacostia Freeway (I-295) over Oxon Run Bay alternating right and left lane closures of southbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295) followed by alternating left and right lane closures of northbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295) on Tuesday, May 5, from 10 am to 3 pm, weather permitting
- Suitland Parkway under Anacostia Freeway (I-295) alternating right and left northbound and southbound lane closures on Thursday, May 7, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting
- Anacostia Freeway (I-295) over Suitland Parkway alternating right and left lane closures of westbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295) Ramp Thursday, May 7, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
