Bridge and Tunnel Inspection for the Week of March 16
(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:
- I-395 under I-395 (Ramp E) alternating single Eastbound lane closures on Monday, March 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
- South Capitol Street over Anacostia River, P Street SE and Potomac Avenue alternating right and left lane closures of southbound South Capitol Street followed by alternating right and left lane closures of northbound South Capitol Street on Tuesday, March 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
- I-395 westbound under 9th Street SW, alternating right and left lane closures on Thursday, March 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
- I-395 eastbound under 9th Street SW, alternating right and left lane closures on Friday, March 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
