Ben Hampton

Ben Hampton

Ben Hampton’s public-service career spans budget and finance, transportation planning, and communications and public engagement.

In his current role as DDOT’s Resource Allocation Officer, Ben leads a team responsible for the strategic and efficient deployment of local and federal funding to deliver on DDOT’s mission and performance objectives. In his role, Ben serves as a principal advisor to DDOT’s executive leadership team on agency budget and financial matters.

Prior to joining DDOT, Ben served in the Office of Budget and Performance Management within the Office of the City Administrator. There, he managed the annual development of the Mayor’s six-year capital budget for District government, as well as the proposed operating budgets for about a dozen District government agencies.

Ben earned his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Valparaiso University and a Master of Community Planning from the University of Maryland, College Park.
