Tyler Williams is the Community Engagement Manager for DDOT where she manages a team of 8 ward-based Community Engagement Specialists. She began her career with the District Government as a mayoral appointee in 2019 with the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations and Services.
Tyler is a public servant skilled in utilizing research and evaluation to assess the quality-of-life implications for communities who interact with government services. A researcher by trade, she earned a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and a master’s degree from Georgetown University. Her previous career included serving as a supervisory junior scientist for the Military HIV Research Program.
Tyler has demonstrated expertise and leadership in using a data-driven public health approach to make meaningful change in areas of public safety, community resilience, and stakeholder engagement. She is passionate about leveraging varied methodology to analyze and evaluate District agency operations to serve our residents better.
