DDOT is launching the Minnesota Avenue SE from Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE to Pennsylvania Avenue SE Bus Priority Project, which will improve bus operations and safety along this corridor. Minnesota Avenue is a vital corridor with large bus ridership numbers, linking residents to higher education, healthcare, local businesses, and Metrorail. Unfortunately, bus riders currently face slow travel times and reliability issues.
DDOT will engage with community members in the coming months, conduct site visits, perform data analysis, and coordinate with other agencies to identify ways to improve bus service, access to bus stops, and safety along the corridor.
