Aaron Horton is the Associate Director of the Maintenance Division at DDOT.
Aaron has worked for the District government as a consultant and as a city employee of DDOT for the last 20 years. He has worked on various program initiatives, delivering resurfacing projects, alleys repairs, sidewalk replacements, bridge repairs, tunnel maintenance, and traffic signal maintenance. He has been involved in heavy highway construction and maintenance projects and leads DDOT construction teams on PaveDC initiatives including Allepalooza, Potholepalooza, and overall sidewalk maintenance. He was the project manager for the first urban asset management project, DC Streets I, and has been an advocate for the District’s critical maintenance programs.
Aaron has over 27 years of leadership and management experience in maintenance, construction, asset management in the District, the North Carolina Department of Transportation and private industry.
Aaron earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE). He lives in Mitchellville, Maryland with his wife and children.
