LaKisha has committed more than 24 years in public service with a strong and demonstrated background in the District of Columbia Government, including experience in executive leadership & management, budgetary & financial management, human capital infrastructure management, contract compliance monitoring and enforcement, and public, intergovernmental, and business relations. LaKisha is serving as the Interim Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer. In this role, LaKisha serves as the overseer of Equity and Inclusion Administration for Business Services and Compliance, Davis Bacon, Civil Rights, Equal Employee Opportunities, and American Disabilities Act enforcement.
LaKisha is a native Washingtonian and has been the “Master of Her Success” in various positions with increased responsibility held with the Office of the Chief Financial Officer for the Government Services Cluster and the District Department of Transportation as a champion for compliance throughout her career. As a former Budget Analyst, Administrative Officer for oversight of DDOT’s Payroll Administration and Implementation of PeopleSoft in 2009, and Operations Manager for Davis Bacon Compliance, LaKisha has a wealth of knowledge and is considered a Subject Matter Expert Organizational Strategist.
LaKisha is a certified Executive Leader from the George Washington University Center for Excellence and holds a degree in Business Management Administration from Strayer University.
