Sandra Marks is the Chief Project Delivery Officer overseeing the Planning and Sustainability Division (PSD), Transit Delivery Division (TDD), Traffic Engineering and Safety Division (TESD), and the Vision Zero Division (VZD).
Sandra comes to DDOT from Montgomery County, Maryland’s Department of Transportation where she served as the Capital Projects Manager responsible for advancing project delivery and the planning and implementation of the county’s Bus Rapid Transit program. Sandra previously served as Deputy Director for Transportation for the City of Alexandria, Virginia’s Department of Transportation and Environmental Services. There she oversaw Transportation Planning, Transit, and Traffic Operations. She brings over 25 years of experience in transportation planning, management and team leadership.
