West End/Foggy Bottom Protected Bike Lane Network Public Meeting

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host a public workshop on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 to discuss proposed alternatives for a protected bicycle facility on G Street NW between 17th Street NW and Virginia Avenue NW and Virginia Avenue NW, between Rock Creek Trail and Constitution Avenue NW. The meeting will include a brief presentation and open house, with an opportunity to learn about and discuss the projects with the DDOT project team.

The G Street NW and Virginia Avenue NW protected bike lane projects are part of DDOT’s commitment and vision to expand the network of protected bike lanes throughout the District. These facilities, alongside the proposed 20th and 21st Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW protected bike lanes, will help create a connected, safer, and more accessible bicycle network for the West End and Foggy Bottom neighborhoods. As part of Vision Zero, this project seeks to build safer streets for all, especially bicyclists and pedestrians.
