Temporary Lanes Closures on DC-295 February 23 – March 2, 2019
(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily and periodically close one lane on both DC-295 northbound from the I-695 ramp to East Capitol Street, SE and DC-295 southbound from East Capitol Street, SE to the I-695 ramp to perform bridge rehabilitation work, from 6:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019 until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019. A minimum of one lane will be maintained at all times. Motorists should anticipate heavy delays due to these lane closures.
Beginning Monday, February 25, 2019, the left lane will be closed on DC-295 northbound and DC-295 southbound during off-peak hours, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., through Friday, March 1, 2019, weather permitting. A minimum of one lane will be maintained at all times.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas and guide them through the construction zone. Drivers are advised to take an alternate route or alternate travel times to avoid delays, stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.
