Public Meetings Notice for Wards 7 & 8 Alabama Avenue SE Safety Improvement Study

March 2 and March 16

(Washington, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to attend public meetings for the Alabama Avenue SE Safety Improvements Study (from Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue SE to Bowen Road/Ridge Road SE). DDOT will be hosting two meetings (one in Ward 7 and one in Ward 8) where an overview of the Study and design concepts will be discussed. Please join us to share your safety concerns and ideas for improving mobility for all users of Alabama Avenue SE.

The Alabama Avenue SE Safety Improvement Study supports the Mayor’s Vision Zero Initiative to reach zero fatalities and serious injuries by 2024. The Vision Zero Initiative identified Alabama Avenue SE as one of 15 high-crash corridors in need of significant safety improvements.
