DDOT Bridge and Tunnel Inspections for the Week of January 20
(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections.
DDOT will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways on Tuesday, January 22, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting:
- Kenilworth Avenue under Benning Road alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Kenilworth Avenue under Benning Road followed by alternating right and left shoulder closures of the northbound on and off ramps for Kenilworth Avenue under Benning Road
- Westbound ramp tunnel from Pennsylvania Avenue to Southeast Boulevard under Pennsylvania Avenue, SE alternating right and left lane closures
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
