Minnesota Avenue and Good Hope Road SE Bus Priority Project Open House



The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host a public meeting to present the Minnesota Avenue/Good Hope Road SE Bus Priority Project concept plans. This open house is being held to share project plans with the community and gather input that will inform future design alternatives and final concept plans that improve bus service and safety along Minnesota Avenue/Good Hope Road and the Anacostia neighborhood. TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MEETING: Come to the Anacostia Neighborhood Library anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Warning Period Starts Today for Clear Lanes Automated Bus Lane and Zone Enforcement Program

Today, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and Metro announced the start of a minimum 45-day warning period for their Clear Lanes program. Clear Lanes aims to improve bus travel times and enhance bus stop safety and accessibility by using cameras mounted on Metrobuses to identify vehicles illegally operating, parking, standing, or stopping in dedicated bus lanes and bus zones. Photos of violating vehicles are sent to DDOT, which will verify a qualifying offense.

14th Street NW Bus Priority Project – Concept Selection Open House



The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host an open house to review the proposed roadway design concept for bus operation and bike and pedestrian safety improvements on 14th Street NW between Newton Street NW and Arkansas Avenue NW.

DC Smart Street Lighting Project Ward 7 and 8 Public Meeting



The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to a public meeting on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center located at 2730 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue SE, for a presentation on the DC Smart Street Lighting project. DDOT will present an overview and update on the project schedule for Wards 7 and 8 at this public meeting. The Smart Street Lighting Project will modernize 72,051 streetlights in the District of Columbia by converting them to LED technology with remote monitoring and control capabilities.
