Baltimore-Washington Parkway

Northbound B-W Parkway at the I-495 interchange

Through Wednesday, January 17, expect shoulder work on the right side of northbound B-W Parkway at the I-495 interchange between 8:30 a.m and 2:30 p.m.

 

Installing Traffic and Weather Devices along the Baltimore-Washington Parkway

Ongoing and weather permitting, Maryland State Highway Administration crews continue installing traffic and weather monitoring devices along the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. Work may be conducted each day between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and again between 7:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

 

George Washington Memorial Parkway

Lane Closure Slaters Lane to Four Mile Run

The right, northbound lane of the George Washington Memorial Parkway will be closed between Slaters Lane and Four Mile Run from Sunday, January 7, 2018 to Thursday, January 11, 2018. The lane will be closed every evening from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Work is weather dependent.

 

Alternating Lane Closures on Clara Barton Parkway Monday January 8, through Friday January 12, 2018 expect alternating northbound lane closures from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. between the exit ramp to Cabin John Parkway and I-495 Capital Beltway. Watch for directional warning signs and workers near work zones.

 

Road Closure Leading to the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial

Until February 2018, the loop road to the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial from Marshall Drive is closed. This closure will allow contractors to replace the asphalt roadway and replace it with concrete. The memorial will be accessible by pedestrians throughout the project.

 

Arlington Memorial Bridge

A 10-ton load limit for Arlington Memorial Bridge remains in effect indefinitely.

 

National Mall and Memorial Parks

Lane Closure along 17th Street

A single lane on southbound 17th Street NW between Constitution Avenue NW and Home Front Drive SW (at the World War II Memorial) remains closed for construction activities associated with Phase I of the rehabilitation of Constitution Gardens. Work is expected to last until early 2018. One southbound lane and both northbound lanes of 17th Street will remain open at all times during the construction.

 

Rock Creek Park

Lane Closures on Rock Creek Parkway Adjacent to the Kennedy Center

Monday, January 8 through Friday, January 12, there will be a single lane closure along the Rock Creek Parkway Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The closed lane will be the rightmost northbound lane, from just south of the Roosevelt Bridge to the north end of the Kennedy Center.

 

Beach Drive Closed from Park Road/Tilden Street NW to Joyce Road NW

Through mid-January, Beach Drive is closed to all users (cars, bikes, and pedestrians) between Park Road/Tilden Street NW and Joyce Road NW, which is just south of Military Road NW. Ross Drive and Ridge Road are also closed to vehicles but remain open to cyclists and pedestrians. Beach Drive will remain closed from north of Blagden Avenue bridge to Joyce Road NW until fall 2018. Bingham Road Closure through Rock Creek Park between Oregon Ave NW and Beach Drive NW

Bingham Drive NW will remain closed, between Oregon Ave NW and Beach Drive NW, through November 2018, as DC Water continues to rehabilitate sewer infrastructure along Oregon Ave NW from Rittenhouse St NW to Beech St NW. The paved trail adjacent to Bingham Drive, which connects Oregon Avenue NW to Beach Drive, will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists during construction. Rehabilitation of the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge

Occurring on Sunday through Thursday through mid-2018 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., there will be alternating single-lane closures, on both the northbound and southbound lanes of Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway between Whitehurst Freeway and 500 feet past M Street. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times during the work period. The District Department of Transportation is rehabilitating the Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge, and the work is expected to continue for several months.
