Suitland Parkway Trail Rehabilitation Project Virtual Public Meeting on Wednesday, February 15, 2023

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will hold a virtual public meeting to discuss the concept engineering for the rehabilitation of the Suitland Parkway Trail, a 1.7-mile paved trail that runs along Suitland Parkway from Pomeroy Road SE to Southern Avenue. DDOT plans to rehabilitate the trail include re-paving and widening, adding a crash barrier between the trail and the roadway, and adding trail and street lights. Additional changes may include adding new connections to the trail from neighborhood streets.

Tenleytown Multimodal Access Project Meeting #2 on Saturday, February 25, 2023

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host an in-person community workshop to seek feedback on potential design concepts for the Tenleytown Multimodal Access Project, a multimodal transportation improvement project in the area near the Tenleytown-AU Metro Station (Albemarle Street NW from Wisconsin Avenue to Fort Drive, and 40th Street/Fort Drive NW from Albemarle Street to Chesapeake Street).

DC PLUG Feeder 15171 Virtual Open House

The District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) and Pepco invite Ward 8 residents to a virtual community meeting to discuss the DC Power Line Undergrounding (DC PLUG) initiative, with an emphasis on Feeder 15171, located in Ward 8. DC PLUG is a joint initiative between the District Government and Pepco, focused on the underground placement of approximately 20 of the most vulnerable power distribution lines in the District. In the face of increasingly severe storms, the DC PLUG initiative will improve the electric system’s resiliency and reliability.
