The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, on the Freight Plan Update. The project team will present updates on the plan and address questions from the community at this public meeting. A freight plan is a federally required document that defines short-and long-term vision and goals along with objectives and performance measures for the District freight system.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host a hybrid in-person and virtual community workshop to kick off the Georgetown Transportation Access and Circulation Study with the community, a multimodal transportation study for the Georgetown neighborhood. The workshop is an opportunity for community members to share their feedback on ongoing issues, challenges, and opportunities for the study. DDOT staff will also provide information on existing conditions and will be available to answer questions and gather comments.
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host a public meeting to introduce the Florida Avenue NW/NE Bus Priority Project. This meeting is being held to introduce the project to the community and “kick-off” the outreach process. This project will propose multi-modal improvements for the Florida Avenue corridor from 9th Street NW to 1st NE in order to enhance transit service and reliability and improve the overall traffic safety in the area.
