The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to engage in two virtual public meetings focusing on the DC295/I-295 Corridor Improvement Study, scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, and Wednesday, January 24, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. DDOT is studying ways to improve safety, increase accessibility, and the create opportunities for multimodal access to everyday destinations along DC295/I-295.
To facilitate community engagement, the public meetings will be held separately for Ward 7 and Ward 8 residents, recognizing the unique characteristics and concerns of each area.

Public Hearing for a Modification to the Small Cell (Antenna) Guidelines – Standalone Poles
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to a virtual public space meeting on Thursday, February 8, 2023, to modify the Small Cell (antenna) Guidelines to include the design of the standalone pole. The existing guidelines allow small cell infrastructure to be attached to a limited number of existing DDOT and 3rd party utility poles by entities with an executed Master License Agreement (MLA). Some neighborhoods lack available poles, thus necessitating standalone poles that antennas are attached to for the purpose of transmitting wireless signals.
District Freight Plan Update Public Meeting
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, on the District Freight Plan Update. The project team will present a near-final District Freight Plan Update and address questions from the community at this public meeting, which is a follow-up to our May 24, 2023, public meeting. A freight plan is a federally required document that defines short-and long-term goals, objectives, needs, recommendations, projects, and performance measures for the District freight system.

DDOT Deploying Automated Traffic Enforcement Cameras to New Locations in December

(Washington, DC) — Today, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced the planned deployment of automated traffic enforcement cameras to locations throughout the District identified by data analysis with the following safety issues: (1) High Injury Network (HIN) locations, as a result of speeding; and (2) local roads with consistent stop sign running.
