James Strange joined the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) in 2006 as a Supervisory Engineering Technician supporting the Traffic Management Center (TMC) and Roadway Operations Patrol (ROP). During his tenure with DDOT, James provided critical support to three Presidential Inaugurations, two Papal visits, the return of Major League Baseball to the District of Columbia, and many incidents and accidents that impacted the city’s transportation network, including the SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19 (coronavirus Pandemic).
Prior to joining DDOT, James was an Engineering Manager with the American Public Power Association (APPA). James earned a Bachelor of Science(BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee State University (TSU) and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Averett University.
