Mayor Muriel Bowser is committed to providing safe streets across the District, and the 14th Street Streetscape project is an important piece of that commitment. This project includes improvements to multi-modal transportation accessibility on the 14th Street NW corridor, from Thomas Circle to Florida Avenue. It includes pedestrian and bicycle safety improvement with new bus islands, bicycle lanes and upgrades of streetscape elements. Additionally, there are new ADA compliant sidewalk and crosswalks, upgrades of traffic signals, signage, LID facilities, and landscaping. Construction of this project is nearing completion.
