Automated Traffic Enforcement Program

Surveys consistently identify unsafe and aggressive driving to be among the top public safety concerns of DC residents. The Automated Traffic Enforcement program is part of the multipronged strategy to make DC streets safer for motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians. Automated Traffic Enforcement cameras are installed to help reduce speeding, failure to yield, and running red lights or STOP signs, which are some of the most prevalent dangerous driving.

To recommend a new automated traffic camera location please submit a request for a Traffic Safety Assessment.
