DDOT Green Infrastructure
DDOT's Hydraulics, Stormwater & Green Infrastructure Team works citywide and focuses on drainage and stormwater management-related roadway infrastructure. The team also installs green infrastructure as part of new construction and in retrofit projects to reduce stormwater runoff as mandated by the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Permit under the Clean Water Act. Retrofit projects include Green Alleys designed to reduce the quantity and improve the quality of stormwater within the city’s right-of- way (ROW).
