Permit Applications

DDOT has launched an online application called the Transportation Online Permit System (d.TOPS) which allows users to apply online for public space permits. See also Permit Applications for Use in Public Space and Application Forms and Requirements for Public Space Usage.

Any residents or contractors who wish to plant, prune, or remove a tree within the Public Right-of-Way must first obtain permission from DDOT and the Urban Forestry Administration (UFA) by applying online using the Transportation Online Permit System (d.TOPS).

Special Tree Removal Permit - DDOT permits iconSpecial Tree Removal Permit

The removal of public or private property trees at least 55 inches in circumference, which is equivalent to 17.51 inches in diameter, requires a Special Tree Removal Permit.
