The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to attend a joint Ward 7 town hall with DDOT and Councilmember Felder’s Office about proposed roadway design concepts for mobility and safety improvements for East Capitol Street NE and SE at The Strand 5131 Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 6 PM - 8 PM.
To participate: Residents are invited to The Strand DC’s second-floor meeting space from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, to learn more about the East Capitol Street NE/SE Safety and Mobility Improvement Project. This is an opportunity to give feedback on DDOT’s proposed concept plans, which include safety treatments and other roadway changes. DDOT staff will be available to answer questions and collect feedback. Your input will continue to inform the project as it progresses into the design phase. Parking is available across the street from the House of Praise parking lot.
