The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to attend a public meeting about the Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE Bus Priority Project.

This virtual public meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, to share important construction information related to improving bus operations and safety along the Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE corridor between Minnesota Avenue NE and Eastern Avenue NE. Construction is scheduled to begin in Summer 2026.

9th Street Tunnel To Partially Reopen This Evening

The District Department of Transportation announced that the 9th Street Tunnel, currently closed downtown due to a Metrobus fire, will reopen this evening. Significant progress has been made in the inspection and cleanup effort, allowing the scope of remaining work to be scaled back.
