Weekend Lane Closures on South Capitol Street SE/SW June 28 - July 1

(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close all lanes on South Capitol Street SE/SW (between Malcolm X Avenue and Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue) from Friday, June 28 at 8:00 pm until Monday, July 1 at 5:00 am, weather permitting.

These lane closures are necessary to complete work related to the Rehabilitation of the Anacostia Freeway Bridges over South Capitol Street project.

DDOT will provide variable message boards that will alert the traveling public to these closures. Detour signs will also be prevalent along the closure route to guide all motorists safely around each closure. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert while traveling through this busy corridor.
