Two-way Conversion of K Street NW between 9th & 10th Streets NW on March 30
(Washington, D.C.) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will convert the one block section of K Street NW between 9th Street NW and 10th Street NW from a one-way to a two-way street on Saturday, March 30th.
As part of this implementation effort, existing parking spaces on K Street NW between 9th Street NW and 10th Street NW will be temporarily unavailable between 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30. During this time, at least one travel lane on K Street NW will be open to vehicular traffic. Sidewalks will remain open to pedestrian traffic.
Traffic controls will be in place throughout the work areas. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the implementation period March 29-30.
DDOT has coordinated with Advisory Neighborhood Council 2C and adjacent property owners on this street conversion project. The project’s goal is to improve access and mobility in and around Mount Vernon Triangle.
