Temporary Single Lane Closure on
Monroe Street Bridge on October 7
(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close one lane of traffic on the Monroe Street NE Bridge during the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, October 7, through Wednesday, October 9, weather permitting.
The temporary lane closure is necessary to complete roadway striping related to the Reconstruction of Monroe Street NE Bridge Project. The pedestrian access on the bridge will remain open.
During this activity, DDOT will provide flaggers and signage to guide traffic around the work zone and maintain public safety.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to stay alert when traveling through this area.
