Temporary Ramp Closure on Key Bridge on June 26

(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close the ramp on the Francis Scott Key Bridge to the eastbound Whitehurst Freeway on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 10:00 pm until 5:00 am Thursday, June 27, 2019, weather permitting. Rain date is Thursday, June 27, 2019

The closure is a part of the ongoing Key Bridge Rehabilitation Project and allows for removal of steel plates, quality testing of bridge deck joints and completion of deck repairs.

Pedestrians and bicyclists are advised to stay alert while traveling through this work area.

Motorists are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful of construction personnel
