Temporary Ramp Closure on DC-295 April 8-12

(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close the exit ramp from northbound DC-295 to eastbound Pennsylvania Avenue SE nightly between 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. beginning Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 12, weather permitting.

Vehicles will be detoured using the exit ramp to westbound Pennsylvania Avenue SE; taking the on-ramp to southbound DC-295; to the eastbound Pennsylvania Ave SE exit as indicated on the map below. Heavy delays should be expected around the project area and motorists are advised to use an alternative route, if possible.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the area and guide them through the construction zone and detours. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.

Work on the ramp is anticipated to be completed by the end of May 2019, weather permitting.
