Temporary Ramp and Lane Closures on DC-295 April 5 – April 12

(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close ramps and lanes on DC-295 from April 5-12, 2019 to perform bridge rehabilitation work.

The eastbound Pennsylvania Avenue SE entrance ramp to southbound DC-295 will temporarily close from Friday, April 5 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, April 8 at 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. The ramp will also be closed nightly from Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 12 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Vehicles will be detoured for the ramp closure using Minnesota Avenue, Good Hope Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE, as indicated in the map below. Significant delays should be expected around the project area.

The right lane of southbound DC-295 from East Capitol Street SE to the I-695 ramp will be closed from Saturday, April 6 at 6:00 a.m. until Monday, April 8 at 5:00 a.m.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas and guide them through the construction zone. Drivers are advised to take an alternate route or alternate travel times to avoid delays, stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.
