Temporary Overnight Lane Closures on
New Jersey Avenue NW November 22-23

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will implement temporary overnight lane closures on New Jersey Avenue NW between M Street NW and N Street NW. Construction activity will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019, and conclude at 5:00 a.m. on November 23, 2019, weather permitting.

This work is required to perform waterline connection and installation activities as a part of the Safety Improvements on New Jersey Avenue NW Project.

Curbside parking may also be restricted while work is underway. Emergency No Parking signs will be posted a minimum of 72 hours before the start of construction. Sidewalk detours will also be in place while sidewalk repair is in progress. Signage and protective barriers will be used to maintain public safety.

Traffic controls will be in place to guide all users of the roadway through the work zone safely. Motorists should expect delays due to the lane closures and are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and road work crews while traveling in this area.
