Wednesday, May 7, 2014
Traffic Delays Anticipated; Motorists Should Use Alternate Routes

Washington, DC - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be implementing a series of nighttime road closures near the intersection of H Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW to remove overhead signage in the area. The closures will take place on Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9, 2014; from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closures are scheduled to take place as follows:

               Thursday, May 8, 2014
Eastbound H Street NW will be closed between 3rd Street and 4th Street.

               Friday, May 9, 2014
Massachusetts Avenue NW will be closed between 2nd Street and 4th Street.

Detour signs will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public in this area. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel in this corridor. Signs will also be in place to direct pedestrians to use nearby sidewalks to get around the work area.

All construction-related work and dates are subject to change, depending on weather, material and contractor availability or other unforeseen conditions.
