FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has temporarily closed a single lane eastbound and then westbound on the Whitehurst Freeway underneath the Key Bridge. The closures occur from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm, through Friday, March 30, weather permitting.
These closures are a part of the ongoing Key Bridge Rehabilitation Project and are required for scaffolding installation and inspections on the Key Bridge span over the Whitehurst Freeway.
Motorists are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas and to anticipate moderate delays and to be mindful of the construction personnel. Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the area.
