Temporary Lane Closures on Southbound Kenilworth Avenue Through November 8

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will continue temporary lane closures on Kenilworth Avenue/DC-295 through November 8 for roadway repairs, weather permitting. Temporary lane closures will be in effect on the following roadways from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m, weather permitting:

  • Right Travel Lane, Kenilworth Ave (DC-295), Southbound (single-lane closure)
  • Ramp, Benning Road, Eastbound onto Kenilworth Ave (DC-295) Southbound (ramp closure)
  • A detour route will be provided to guide motorists onto southbound Kenilworth Ave via Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave NE.

Traffic control devices will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.
