Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations, January 3-5

(Washington, DC)--The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for routine bridge and tunnel inspections on the following days, weather permitting:

Southbound Connecticut Avenue under Dupont Circle and Q Street. Alternating right- and left-lane closures on Wednesday, January 3, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Anacostia Freeway over South Capitol Street. Alternating right- and left-lane closures on northbound Anacostia Freeway will be followed by alternating right- and left-lane closures on southbound Anacostia Freeway, Thursday, January 4, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Southbound South Capitol Street under Anacostia Freeway. Alternating right- and left- lane closures, Friday, January 5, from 10 am to 12:30 pm.

Anacostia Freeway over South Capitol Street. Alternating right- and left-lane closures of southbound Anacostia Freeway followed by alternating right- and left-lane closures of northbound Anacostia Freeway Friday, January 5, from 11:30 am to 3 pm.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
