Temporary Lane Closure on 31st Street Bridge Over C&O Canal Begins May 13
(Washington, DC) -- The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close a single lane on the 31st Street Bridge, beginning May 13
There will be a temporary single lane closures on the 31st Street Bridge Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The closures are required to perform preliminary work in the Canal as DDOT replaces the 31st Street Bridge over the C&O Canal in Georgetown.
There will be flaggers onsite to facilitate traffic movement, and pedestrian and bike traffic will be maintained at all times. The single lane closure operation is expected to last approximately six weeks.
