(Washington DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) reminds the general public that it will continue to implement a new traffic pattern along Minnesota Avenue SE as part of the ongoing reconstruction of Minnesota Avenue Phase 1. The new traffic pattern is from East Capitol Street Bridge at Ridge Road to A Street NE. This traffic pattern is to assist with the safe installation of a new water main.

All northbound traffic will be shifted to the inside middle lane. Southbound vehicular traffic will remain in the existing southbound curb lane during this phase.

Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists are urged to stay alert and to use caution when traveling through the work zone. DDOT will continue to inform the public of lane closures and changes as they occur.

The mission of the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is to enhance the quality of life for District residents and visitors by ensuring that people, goods, and information move efficiently and safely with minimal adverse impact on residents and the environment.
