Lane Closure on Southbound I-395 Exit Ramp on Southeast-Southwest Freeway Begins Wednesday, February 21, 2018

(Washington, DC) -- The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close one lane on the southbound I-395 exit ramp heading eastbound on the Southeast-Southwest Freeway. The closure begins Wednesday, February 21, 2018, through Friday, March 23, 2018, from 9:30 am to 4 pm, weather permitting.

The closure accommodates inspection work as part of DDOT’s comprehensive program for rehabilitation of Southeast/Southwest Freeway bridges. The closure is limited to the exit ramp.

During this time, traffic will be restricted to one lane. Motorists should anticipate delays on I-395 southbound while the contractor implements the lane shifts. All ramps within the work area will remain open during this work.

Traffic on eastbound and westbound Southeast-Southwest Freeway may experience slower speeds through the work zones. No parking restrictions are anticipated.

Motorists are urged to stay alert and use caution when traveling through the work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in work zones. Motorists are also advised to plan for additional travel time, use alternate routes or seek alternate means of transportation, as traffic delays are likely to occur.

For additional details, please contact the project’s public outreach office at (202) 719-0196 or visit www.seswfreewayrehab.com.
