DDOT Traffic Advisory: Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations Through April 13

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for routine bridge and tunnel inspections, weather permitting:

Wednesday, April 11, 10 am to 3 pm

DDOT will close the right shoulder on northbound Potomac River Freeway under ramp connecting westbound E Street NW to westbound T. Roosevelt Bridge. This will be followed by a right-shoulder closure on the southbound Potomac Parkway followed by a left-lane closure on southbound Potomac River Freeway.

DDOT will close alternating right- and left-lane closures on northbound Potomac Parkway under the T. Roosevelt Bridge. This is followed by alternating right- and left-lane closures on southbound Potomac Parkway.

Thursday, April 12, 10 am to 3 pm

DDOT will close the right shoulder on northbound Potomac River Freeway under ramp connecting westbound E Street NW to westbound T. Roosevelt Bridge followed by right-shoulder closure of southbound Potomac Parkway. This will be followed by a left-lane closure on southbound Potomac River Freeway.

DDOT will close alternating right- and left-lane closures on northbound Rock Creek Parkway under Pennsylvania Avenue NW followed by alternating right- and left-lane closures on southbound Rock Creek Parkway.

DDOT will close the right lane of westbound D Street SE under the 10th Street Mall, followed by a right-lane closure of eastbound D Street SE at the intersection of 10th Street. This will occur from 10 am to 2 pm.*

DDOT will close alternating right and left lanes of L’Enfant Promenade under the 10th Street Mall from 10 am to 2 pm.*

Friday, April 13, 10 am to 3 pm

DDOT will close the right lane on westbound D Street SE under the 10th Street Mall. Then it will close a right lane on eastbound D Street under the 10th Street Mall, from 10 am to 2 pm.

DDOT will close alternating right and left lanes of L’Enfant Promenade under 10th Street Mall from 11:30 am to 3 pm, weather permitting.*

DDOT will close alternating right and left lanes on northbound Kenilworth Avenue under the pedestrian bridge near Nash Street NE. This will be followed by alternating right- and left-lane closure on southbound Kenilworth Avenue under the pedestrian bridge near Nash Street NE.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures and are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
