DDOT Temporary Lane Closures

(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways:

I-295 South, South of Defense Boulevard Overpass

On Tuesday, August 1, from 9:30 am to 3 pm, weather permitting, DDOT will close the left lane of I-295 South just south of the Defense Boulevard overpass.

South Dakota Avenue NE Southbound at New York Avenue NE Overpass

On Tuesday, August 1, from 9:30 am to 3 pm, weather permitting, DDOT will close the right lane of South Dakota Avenue NE southbound at the New York Avenue NE overpass.

Queens Chapel Road NE Westbound at B&O Railroad Overpass

On Tuesday, August 1, from 9:30 am to 3 pm, weather permitting, DDOT will close the right lane of Queens Chapel Road NE westbound at the B&O Railroad overpass.
 
Southwest Freeway Eastbound at 9th Street SE Overpass Abutment

On Wednesday, August 2, from 9:30 am to 3 pm, weather permitting, DDOT will close the right shoulder of Southwest Freeway eastbound at the 9th Street SE overpass abutment.
 

Kenilworth Avenue Freeway Northbound at Benning Road NE

On Thursday, August 3, from 9:30 am to 3 pm, weather permitting, DDOT will close the right lane of Kenilworth Avenue Freeway northbound at Benning Road NE.

The closures will accommodate guard rail and impact attenuator repair works.

Traffic controls will be in place throughout the work areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays.
