(Washington, DC) - On June 25 to July 25, 2014, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be installing nighttime lane closures in order to paint the steel superstructure under the 14th Street Bridge over I-395 southbound, weather permitting.
This work is done to preserve the bridge and to make the roadway safe for the traveling public.
The southbound lanes of I-395 will be closed one lane at a time. The lane closures will be installed at 8 p.m. after the evening rush hour and removed before the morning rush hour at 5 a.m.
The public can expect some disruption of traffic flow during the above-mentioned work hours.
All lane closures will be in compliance with DDOT standard lane closures. DDOT encourages motorists to stay alert as they travel through the work zone.
