(Washington, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for its 2018 goDCgo Ambassador Awards. Now in its second year, the Ambassador Awards recognize District employers who implement exemplary commuter benefits for their employees.
Award winners will be celebrated at a goDCgo-hosted ceremony in Spring 2018. The ceremony recognizes organizational commitments to reducing single-occupancy vehicles that in turn reduce congestion and help make the District the healthiest and greenest city in the United States. Previous winners include National Geographic, Everybody Wins! DC, and Inter-American Development Bank.
“We are thrilled to recognize innovative companies and organizations with the second annual Ambassador Awards,” said Jeff Marootian, DDOT Acting Director. “Only by collaborating and learning from each other’s successes can we can make the District the most sustainable city in the United States.”
This year, the Ambassador Awards include eight nomination categories:
- DC Commuter Benefits Law All-Star Award
- Emerging Commuter Program Award
- Bike-Friendly Workplace Award
- Telework/Flex/Alternative Schedule Award
- Most Creative or Innovative Commuter Program Award
- Capital Bikeshare Corporate Member Award
- Capital Bikeshare Community Partners Program Award
- Outstanding Partner Award
