DDOT Continues to Improve the Safety of the District’s Bridge Network

Tuesday, July 8, 2014
The agency will perform repairs at Alabama Avenue over Suitland Parkway between July 8 to July 11, 2014

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is conducting bridge preservation activities on the Alabama Avenue Bridge that runs over the Suitland Parkway in the District of Columbia Bridge Network.

The work began July 8, 2014, and is scheduled to continue until July 11, 2014. It will require closing one lane of Alabama Avenue during work hours, from 9:30 am to 3 pm.  The lane closure will not be installed until the completion of the morning rush hour, and will be removed before the start of the evening rush hour.

The traveling public can expect some inconvenience but lane closures will not significantly affect traffic flow.
