DDOT Bridge and Tunnel Inspections for the Week of July 30

DDOT Bridge and Tunnel Inspections for the Week of July 30

(Washington, DC) –  The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:
  • Kenilworth Avenue over Watts Branch and Burroughs Avenue right lane closure of Northbound Kenilworth Avenue followed by partial lane closure of the North Ramp from Kenilworth Avenue to Burroughs Avenue followed by a left lane closure of Southbound Kenilworth Avenue on Monday, July 30, from 10:00 am until 3:00  pm,  weather permitting
  • Southbound I-395 Center Leg under Constitution Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, Independence Avenue, Washington Ave., and Maryland Ave right lane closure on Tuesday, July 31, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting
  • Southbound I-395 Center Leg under Constitution Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, Independence Avenue, Washington Ave, and Maryland Avenue   left lane closure on Wednesday, August 1, from 10:00 to 3:00 pm, weather permitting
  • Northbound I-395 Center Leg under Const. Ave., Pennsylvania Avenue, Independence Avenue, Washington Ave., and Maryland Ave  right lane closure on Thursday, August 2, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting
  • Northbound I-395 Center Leg under Constitution Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, Independence Avenue, Washington Avenue, and Maryland venue left lane closure on Friday, August 3, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting 
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
